The Bologna reform of higher education within the European Higher Education Area introduced systematic evaluation of the quality of institutions and study programmes.
The purpose of evaluation is to ensure and maintain quality standards necessary for the recognition of diplomas and mobility within the European Higher Education Area.
As a certified expert, he participated in the evaluation of professional and university institutions in accordance with the standards of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the umbrella organisation regulating quality assurance standards within the European Higher Education Area.
As a member of the National Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia, and serving as President of the Evaluation Committee, he conducted a site visit and quality assessment of the Faculty of Agriculture, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek.
As President of a multidisciplinary international expert committee appointed by the National Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia, he carried out the evaluation of the professional study programmes of the Polytechnic of Rijeka.
Within a pilot project between Croatia and the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), he participated as a member of an international committee that conducted evaluations of the Polytechnics in Knin, Slavonski Brod and Zagreb.
As a member of an international committee, he conducted the external quality evaluation of the Department of Crop Production at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEI), Greece, under the authority of the Hellenic Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (HQAA).
Participated in the evaluation of the Higher Vocational College Grm – Novo Mesto – Centre of Biotechnology and Tourism (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the external evaluation of the Higher Vocational College Maribor (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the procedures for the renewal of accreditation of first-cycle study programmes (Economic Engineering; Viticulture and Enology; Cultural History) at the University of Nova Gorica (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the external evaluation for the renewal of accreditation of first-, second-, and third-cycle programmes at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, University of Maribor (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the external evaluation of the Biotechnical Centre Naklo (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the first accreditation procedure of the study programme “Rural Management” at the School of Rural Management Grm, Novo Mesto (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the renewal of accreditation procedures of study programmes at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the renewal of accreditation of undergraduate programmes Biodiversity and Mediterranean Agriculture, and the master’s programme Nature Conservation at the University of Primorska (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the renewal of accreditation procedures of study programmes at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated in the renewal of accreditation of undergraduate programmes Biodiversity and Mediterranean Agriculture, and the master’s programme Nature Conservation.
Participated in the renewal of accreditation of the second-cycle programme “Food Safety in the Food Chain” at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, University of Maribor (NAKVIS, Slovenia).
Participated as a member of a national and international expert committee responsible for evaluation, quality review, and recommendations for accreditation of the University of Modern Sciences – Centre for Commercial Management (CKM), Mostar.
